Looking east, the Rogue Valley and Ashland blanketed in fog while the sunset and Mt. McLouhglin engage in a majestic duet witnessed only by those who ventured up to the height of the mountains. If you ever asked why we do, here is just one of the many reasons.
Still very vivid in my mind, though almost two weeks ago, my friend John and I took the mountain bikes out for an, “inversion excursion”. It was a phenomenal day, and the first for me in what would become a string of ascents to the Golf Ball before the snow set in. On our way down we were treated to an amazing sunset, fog slowly lifting, revealing mountain tops, golden hued hills, framed by smooth trunked madrone.
